Where does it end? The media behemoth CNN has struck a new low in the airing of it's recent King interview with the late Tammy Faye (Baker) Messner. Regardless of anybody's contempt of the woman and her former husband, the Bible toting holier-than-thou-catch-me-when-I-fall evangelist, Jim, one had to wonder while she was discussing her illness, why? Why wouldn't anyone with a sense of moralistic duty, never mind journalistic, leave this person to rest, and inevitably, eternal rest?
It is arguably blasphemous to have someone so dreadfully ill be portrayed this way. Even if the message was to convey hope for others, there was none here. The image left for us now is not of the once vibrant, over-painted baroness of GOD-TV, but of a pathetic, withered skeleton - whose testimony will score a grand slam in the coveted Nelson rating report card.
