SEN. 'TED' KENNEDY 1932-2009: THE SENATE WAS THE LION'S DEN

Senator Edward Kennedy, even through his personal tribulations and multiple family tragedies, rallied selflessly to aid the disadvantaged and working class at every given turn. He was a fighter and a diplomat, uncommon qualities in the realm of public service today. If anyone could cut through the rubbish, it was Teddy. Unlike his brother John, perhaps he was not meant to be President, but be a driving force where he could do the most good. Being a proud liberal, Kennedy was able to see beyond ideology - the mark of a true politician. His unflinching efforts to represent the residents of Massachusetts and the entire country, should set the standard for congressional legislators now and for generations to come.

'The greatest good for the greatest number...'
That principle describes best the legacy of Senator Edward Kennedy.
